Takeo temple is located on the east of Angkor Thom. It is one of the first temples, which were built out of sandstone. It is atop a laterite base with 122 meters and 106 meters. It rises into the sky about 22 meters.The temple was built from the late 10th to early 12th centuries by King Jayavarman V (968-1001) and Suryavarman I (1002-1050).
